For teachers drowning in curriculum chaos

Rebuild your messy course
with AI — in a weekend.

A self-paced course + template library that walks you through the exact 6-phase method a Title 1 history teacher used to rebuild an entire year of curriculum with AI. Audit → crosswalk → asset library → gap dashboard → blueprints → cartridge.

The problem

Your course is a graveyard. You just can't see it.

Three years of accumulated files. Standards that quietly moved. No clean picture of what you actually teach vs. what you're supposed to. Sound familiar?

📦 The pile

Years of Canvas / Google Classroom / Drive content you can't search, sort, or trust.

🎯 Moved standards

Your state rewrote the standards and nobody handed you a crosswalk.

🕳️ Invisible gaps

You're missing standards you don't even know you're missing.

⏳ No time

11 weeks until students arrive and "fix the whole course" isn't a weekend… until now.

The proof

One real course. Before & after.

This isn't theory. The whole method was built rebuilding a real 7th-grade US History II course around Virginia's new 2023 standards.

😵 Before

  • 894 MB Canvas export, 3 years deep, never audited
  • Old 2015 standards; new 2023 standards; no map between them
  • 536 assets with no tags, no owner, no reuse status
  • 26 standards completely uncovered — invisible
  • "What do I actually teach?" — no honest answer

✨ After

  • Every asset inventoried & tagged: keep / revise / retire
  • Full crosswalk: every standard → covered, partial, or missing
  • 66 student-facing learning targets with Know/Understand/Do
  • A 45-lesson design queue, prioritized P1/P2/P3
  • A live dashboard you check on a Sunday night

"I'd been winging it without knowing it. From there AI built me 180 days of pacing — mapped to every standard."

The method

The 6-Phase Course Rebuild

Each phase is a short Loom, a copy-paste prompt set, and a blank template. Do them in order; you finish with a rebuilt, standards-mapped course.

PHASE 1

Calendar Skeleton

Turn your division calendar into a 43-week pacing grid — quarters, closures, short weeks, assessment windows.

~20 min
PHASE 2

Standards Crosswalk

Decompose the new standards into atomic sub-bullets, group into units, and map them to what you already teach.

~45 min
PHASE 3

Asset Library

Have AI walk your entire course export and tag every asset by unit, type, and reuse status.

~90 min
PHASE 4

Gap Dashboard

For every standard: covered, partial, or missing. Get a prioritized list of the lessons you still need to build.

~30 min
PHASE 5

Unit Blueprints

For each unit: weekly arc, daily structure, keeper assets pulled forward, new lessons flagged, assessment plan.

~2 hrs
PHASE 6

Cartridge + Dashboard

Assemble it into an importable course package and a live Command Center you run all year.

~1 hr

Questions

Before you ask

Does this work for my subject?

Yes. The 6-phase method is subject-agnostic. The taxonomies adjust to your content; the workflow doesn't change. It was built on a history course, but teachers in any subject run the exact same phases.

What if I don't use Canvas?

Any LMS export works — Schoology, Google Classroom, even a Google Drive folder. You can also start with just a list of standards and build forward.

Do I need to be technical?

No. If you can copy and paste a prompt and drag a file into a chat window, you can do this. Every phase has a Loom that shows the exact steps.

Is using AI for this cheating?

Course design is logistics + judgment. AI handles the logistics — inventory, tagging, crosswalking. You keep the judgment. Your lessons are still yours.

What AI tool do I need?

Any capable assistant (Claude works great). The prompt library is written to be pasted into a chat that can read your uploaded files.

How long does it actually take?

The first full pass is a focused weekend. Total to refine everything: ~20 hours. The course is self-paced, so go at your speed.

Stop inheriting a curriculum graveyard every August.

Rebuild it once, with a method that holds. Start this weekend.
